Changing brushes at home (without stress and without breaking the glass)
1) Quick preparation
-
park on level ground
-
Turn off the car.
-
If your car has a "service position," use it (it makes things easier).
2) Caution #1: Your arm must not touch the glass.
When removing the wiper blade, always keep your arm under control. Norauto warns against letting your arm fall onto the windshield without the blade, as this could be enough to break the windshield.
3) Removal and installation (concept)
-
raise your arm
-
Press the button/clip on the socket and remove the old brush.
-
Fit the new one until it is securely in place.
-
lower your arm carefully
4) Final test (mandatory)
-
Add water and test at all speeds.
-
confirms that there are no "unclean" zones
-
confirms absence of abnormal noise
Tip: If there is noise/vibration, it is often due to a poorly fitted part or very dirty/greasy glass.
