2. Object and Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions govern:
- Access to and use of the UMBOX.pt website;
- the purchase of products and services available in the online store.
By using the website or placing an order, the user declares that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions, as well as the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Payment and Returns Policy, and the Shipping and Delivery Policy.

3. Customer Account
The user can place orders as a guest or create a customer account.
The account holder is responsible for:
- to guarantee the accuracy of the data provided;
- Keep access credentials confidential;
- Please inform us immediately if you suspect any misuse of your account.
UMBOX is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence.

4. Products, Prices and Availability
The essential product features are displayed on each product page. We strive to ensure all information is accurate, but technical errors may occur.
Prices are indicated in euros (€) and, unless otherwise stated, include VAT at the legal rate in force in Portugal.
We reserve the right to:
- Change prices at any time, without prejudice to orders already placed;
- limit quantities;
- Correct pricing or description errors, informing the customer before processing the order.

5. Application Process
1) The customer selects the products and adds them to the cart.
2) Upon completing the purchase, the customer confirms the order details, delivery address, shipping method, and payment method.
3) Before finalizing, the customer has access to the complete summary, including the total price (including taxes and shipping costs).
4) After completion, the customer receives an order confirmation email.
The order is only considered accepted after confirmation by UMBOX and, where applicable, after payment confirmation by our payment partners.

6. Payments
We accept the payment methods indicated at checkout, which may include:
- Credit or debit card;
MB WAY or other local methods;
PayPal or similar solutions;
- possible installment payment solutions;
- Payment solutions using cryptocurrencies (e.g., USDC) through authorized third-party partners.
Payments are processed by external payment service providers (such as payment institutions, card processors, or cryptocurrency payment service providers).
We do not store the full card number or security code (CVV). We only receive limited information necessary to identify the payment.
In cryptocurrency payments, we only receive payment confirmation, the amount in euros, and, where applicable, the transaction/wallet identifier. We do not have access to the user's private keys.

7. Deliveries
Detailed rules regarding deadlines, costs, shipping methods, and delivery areas can be found in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
During checkout, the following are displayed:
- the available delivery methods;
- the estimated timeframe;
- the cost associated with each option.
UMBOX is not responsible for delays resulting from:
- Incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer;
- situations of force majeure (strikes, natural phenomena, legal restrictions, etc.);
- Delays attributable to the carriers.

8. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
As a rule, consumers have 14 days from the date of receipt of the products to exercise their right of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, except for exceptions provided by law (for example, personalized products, sealed products that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons after opening, digital content not provided in physical form after the start of the download, etc.).
Conditions, deadlines, exclusions, return and refund procedures are detailed in our Payments and Returns Policy (Payments and Returns), which is an integral part of these Terms.

9. Warranties and After-Sales Service
Products sold to consumers benefit from the legal guarantees provided for in applicable Portuguese and European legislation.
The specific conditions (warranty period, coverage, exclusions) are explained in the Payment and Returns Policy and/or in the product information.
If any non-conformity is detected, the customer must contact us as soon as possible via support@umbox.pt, indicating:
- order number;
- Description of the problem;
- photographs or other evidence that proves the situation.

10. Responsibility
UMBOX does not guarantee that the site will function uninterrupted or error-free, although it strives to minimize technical failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UMBOX is not responsible for:
- indirect, incidental or consequential damages (loss of profits, loss of data, etc.);
- losses resulting from improper use of the products by the customer;
- damage resulting from failure to comply with the manufacturer's instructions for use or safety.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits UMBOX's liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (texts, images, logos, design, UMBOX® brand, etc.) is owned by UMBOX or used with permission from their respective owners.
Copying, reproduction, distribution, or use for commercial purposes without prior written authorization is prohibited.

12. Personal Data and Cookies
The processing of personal data carried out by UMBOX is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains:
- what data was collected;
- for what purposes are they used;
- with whom they are shared (Shopify and other partners);
- the rights of data subjects.
The use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by our Cookie Policy, where users can find detailed information about the types of cookies used and options for managing preferences.

13. Dispute Resolution and Complaints Book
Consumers can file complaints directly via email at support@umbox.pt or through the Electronic Complaints Book, available at: www.livroreclamacoes.pt
We also inform you that consumers can resort to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entities. The updated list of ADR entities can be consulted on the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.
Any dispute will be submitted to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice to the consumer's right to resort to alternative dispute resolution entities provided for by law.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which will remain in full force and effect.
